Anke & Maik | Weddingphotography on a farm

I love photographing weddings of couples that I already met for an engagement session. I met Anke and Maik first in December 2010 for their engagement session in Münster. During their engagement session the whole city was covered in snow and we needed to warm up with hot chocolate. In June I had the honour to capture their wedding as well and now it was warm and sunny. We met for a first look in their own garden and moved on for the portrait session. After their beautiful ceremony (which was disturbed by a foreign dog entering the church) we went to Hofcafe Schulze-Besseling in Südlohn to enjoy the reception outside and after that a wonderful dinner with asparagus and strawberries from the own farm. This location is definitely a secret tip in the Münster region as it is a wonderful location and excellent food. Before we started dinner we had a little second portrait session when the sun went down – I can only recommend this to all my future couples. You get some wonderful pictures with warm sunlight while you are super relaxed as the official part of the day has passed by and you can walk into your dinner room while everybody is already seated. The music after this dinner was played by DJ de_bug playing music and entertaining the couple and their guest until six o’clock in the morning.

Thank you both so much for letting me be part of your special day and for choosing me as your  wedding photographer. It was a big pleasure for me to capture it.

The decoration was done by the bride and the sister of the groom. A wonderful Do-It-Yourself wedding.

I was blown away by this white and red theme and even more by the beautiful picture the family made for the couple out of their engagement pictures. I loved seeing my pictures back and when I see this the value of an engagement session becomes 200% more value.
