Hello All

Something new….

A while back we decided we want to do more with the little studio. I was using my little space mainly for meetings with wedding clients but the rest of the day the space was empty and the beautiful light in there was just fading away when the sun set. What a waste of light I thought. So we started building backdrops and rearranged the little studio so I was able to use it for photography too. Until now I was used to photograph outside so this was a complete new challenge for me to direct light in a room. I contacted different women to photograph them in here. The morning when Natali came in to be photographed the rain poured down and I just said to Conrad “Look that is what I love about my little space and this new direction, the weather is not an issue anymore.” Read the full post

Getting ready | How to prepare

When you are planning your wedding you have to think about a million things. Though on your wedding day you just want to enjoy it without being busy organizing the last pieces.

The getting ready in the morning of your wedding day is the time of anticipation and excitement. Your mom and sister, maybe your friends will be with you to help you getting into your dress and being beautified by a make-up artist and hair dresser.  I love this time of the day.  The details are still waiting to be used and the atmosphere of excitement fills the room. And mum is teared up as her little girl is getting married. Often the wedding location is perfectly planned to get the most beautiful images during the ceremony, the portrait session and the dinner . But what about the morning ? When I arrive at a wedding location in the morning the room where the bride and her girls are getting ready is often filled with clothes and stuff and sometimes the light is very poor. It is never impossible to photograph in low light rooms but a cluttered background is hard to ignore on a picture. If you want to make sure you are having beautiful light and calm backgrounds on your getting ready images there are just a few tips to keep in mind. Read the full post

A wedding at Sportschloss Velen | Katharina & Stefan

They met 10 years ago in the bank where he was working as a junior financial consultant. As destiny is waiting sometimes on those places where we don’t expect it Stefan got the appointment to advise Katharina about her financial assets and bank accounts.  After an intense consultation about finances where he was sweating and working really hard with his boss standing all the time behind him to see how good he would consult the client she didn’t buy one products, she even terminated all agreements and bank accounts with their bank. This was for sure not the best start into a good relationship. Read the full post

Big decisions and a dream life

I was looking back at the past 4 years since I started my business and I felt grateful for everything that I accomplished alone in that time. It has definitely been a crazy journey from my first wedding (which was longer ago than 4 years) through the moment when I decided to quit my day job and exchange a fixed salary to freedom to do what I love till the moment now. The Black-Boxx – the unique photo booth experience

I am very proud to present you our newest project. We have been working all summer (with we I mean Conrad, his brother and parents and me and our friends to do the test runs in the garden) to make a little dream come true. We wanted to create a photo booth for our own. More and more wedding couples were asking about a photo booth on their wedding and we wanted it to be the true photo booth experience.
