Engagement Shooting in Amsterdam

Am letzten Wochenende durfte ich ein wunderbares Paar in Amsterdam fotografieren. Die beiden sind durch ihre Berufe eigentlich immer unterwegs und in Amsterdam wurde zum ersten Mal ein Foto von ihnen als Paar gemacht. Die wunderschöne Kulisse von Amsterdam als Hintergrund zu haben hat der Kreativität natürlich sehr viel Freiraum gelassen. Nachdem wir fertig waren mit dem Shooting haben wir die Ballons einfach an ein Fahrrad gebunden – ein gefundenes Fressen für alle Touristen, die sich direkt mitten in Amsterdam auf einer Grachtenbrücke mit einem riesigen Strauß bunter Ballons fotografiert haben.

Manche von Euch werden sich sicher fragen wozu ein Engagementshooting denn gut ist. Dieses Paar will zu seiner Hochzeit eine Webseite erstellen, auf der die Gäste alle Informationen zur Hochzeit finden werden. Aber auch für die Einladungskarten eignen sich die Fotos einer Engagement Session ganz wunderbar. Manche Paare machen diese Fotos auch einfach nur für sich – um sie zuhause aufhängen zu können und mal ein richtig schönes Foto von sich als Paar zu haben, das nicht im Brautkleid ist. Die Gründe für ein sogenanntes Verlobungsshooting sind also vielfältig, vor allem geht es darum die Liebe zu feiern, genau wie später auf der Hochzeit.

Danke Euch beiden für das Vertrauen und für die wunderbaren Gespräche die wir nach dem Shooting im Café hatten. Ich hatte wirklich einen schönen Nachmittag mit Euch beiden und sehr viel Spaß.

Last weekend I had the honour to do an engagement shooting with a wonderful couple in Amsterdam. They are both really busy with their jobs and always on the road so Amsterdam seemed to be the perfect place for their engagement session as the first picture of them as a couple was taken here. The wonderful city of Amsterdam offered us a lot of backgrounds and freedom for creativity. After the shooting we just left the balloons on a big right in the city center. We went to a café nearby and looked at all those tourists that came to take a picture with so many balloons right in the middle of Amsterdam – gorgeous.

Some of you will wonder what an Engagementsession is good for. This couple wants to create a website for their wedding with all information for their guests. Most of the couples use those images for their wedding invitations. But an engagement shooting can also be used to just have some wonderful pictures of yourself as a couple for the big blank wall at home without any weddingdress on. The reasons to do an engagement session are manifold and the most important aspect is to just celebrate your love.
