A wedding at the Fonteinhof in Belgium | MC & Thomas

First of all I have to admit I have a weakness for winter weddings – I just love the cozyness, I love that everything is planned rain proof and I love the colors and the atmosphere of a winter day.

This past December we had the honour to photograph the wedding of MC and Thomas at the beautiful location Het Fonteinhof in Borgloon in Belgium. When I first met MC and Thomas for their engagement session in Tervuren we walked the beautiful park of Tervuren to capture them with the proposal drawn into a tree. Seeing them now again was like walking into a wedding of friends. Read more

A preview …

I hope you all enjoy the summer that finally arrived (at least) in Germany. After a weekend filled with a beautiful wedding and appointments we decided we would take Monday off to finally get groceries and just enjoy the beautiful weather. “I am just going to answer that one email,” I said to Conrad and he answered “Oh wait there is just this one letter we need to send out so that it arrives on time.” Read more

Wedding in Münster | Jasmin & Fabian

They met during high school in French class but she didn’t recognize him until they were on a school trip in France and he offered to carry her bags. It took them three months of dating to be finally a couple which means they were already together for eleven years before she proposed to him in 2010. As they are both incredibly fonds of animals they first adopted two cats and then also a young dog. Their love for animals also had a huge influence on the proposal. Jasmin invited Fabian to a day in the zoo. At the compound of the wolves she finally asked him if he wants to walk side-by-side with her for the rest of their lives. Read more

Dreaming of Paris

I wrote down a list with personal goals for this year. Shooting in Paris was one of them. Making it happen was a total dream come true. A classic autumn wedding in Münster | Lydia & Peter

Lydia and Peter tied the knot at the end of September last years. It was one of those days where you are not sure if it is still summer or already autumn and the nature starts to turn their colors. It has been a beautiful day with a ceremony at the Lotharinger Kloster and the celebration at the Sudmühlenhof in Münster. When I first met Lydia and Peter we spent a whole evening drinking tea and chatting about photography and Münster. Being true lovers of the city of Münster they both drive by bike everywhere they go and even spend more than one hour in the train to get to work. Read more

Mother’s day

I am a story teller and I do not only tell my own story but above all I tell love stories with my camera. I short while ago I had the pleasure to photograph Mareike, Kristina and her mother Hedwig in my little studio. It was a glamorous and fun day and I loved the interaction and love that happend between the three women.

As the love between mother and daughter is always something special I want to share with you a letter from Mareike and Kristina about their mother.

A Mediteranean Wedding in Overveen | Bapke & Niels

Sometimes you can wear your winter jacket on a cold April day and still feel a Mediterranean atmosphere. It was a chilly day last Saturday but the spring sun already warmed up the beautiful Orangerie Elswout in Overveen. When I first saw that location I was totally in love with it but spending the whole day here was definitely a treat. Bapke and Niels met 10 years ago at the gym. She took the first step by inviting him to join her during a sport class. They became soon a couple but Bapke had planned to spend the summer in Greece in the house of her parents, as she does every summer. This summer had been filled with old fashioned letters, SMS and sometimes a phone call and in the end Niels came over to Greece to join her for the last weeks in the Greek sun. Read more
