2011 Terugblik Bruiloften: Portretten van de bruid

Welcome to the third part of my 2011 wedding review: Bridal Portraits. The portraits of the bride are always special as they most of the time happen directly after the getting ready and before the portraits or the ceremony. The bride is excited and full of anticipation.

The moment before the ceremony or before even seeing the groom will show natural and elegant portraits. The moment right after the ceremony often shows very emotional portraits.

I limited myself again with a small choice of images which show a scope of pictures that fit my style of wedding photography. Again all pictures represent my four words: elegant, emotional, natural and intimate.

This moment happened right after the ceremony at the beginning of the couple session. The bride was full of joy and happiness that everything went fine and even the sun started shining. I love her natural laugh – it makes her look so beautiful.

This portrait show the grace and elegance of a bride without even showing her veil or her dress. Due to the rain we were forced to start with the portraits under a little caping of a door. We just had 4 square meters to move but the light was gorgeous.

If you follow my blog you know how much I like black and white pictures. There are some situations where black and white is not suitable. Like this portrait of a bride with a traditional Pakistan wedding dress.

Sometimes simple can be so elegant and beautiful.

Telling a story is always my goal and when an accessory means a lot to a bride I sometimes take a „portrait“ of the accessory and her.

A classy portrait always shows grace and elegance.

Indian brides are always show pure elegance and beauty. The details, the jewels, the make up and the red wedding dress make her look and feel stunning.

Thinking out of the box is not always easy but I love when I get a result like this.

2011 was a summer full of rain. Again for this picture we couldn’t move at all to stay dry. I love her elegance and her stunning veil. The first picture even shows some intimacy.

A veil is magical and when a bride wears her veil some magic happens to her – pure elegance and dignity.

Fun is an emotion and I love it when the bride has a little natural fun in front of my camera.
