I was born in Germany and grew up in a small village near Münster, somewhere in the North or somewhere between Cologne and Hamburg I tell people from another continent all the time.
I grew up going to a girl’s school where I learned how to survive in life in between 85 girls who were destined to be doctors, lawyers, and business consultants. After that time I went abroad to Holland to study international business and languages and dreamed about working in an international environment in skyscrapers wearing pencil skirts and high heels all day and working 20 hour days in a team of successful people to realize projects.
The glimpse I got into that corporate world after my studies implied running in flats from the train to the office (that wasn’t in a luxurious skyscraper) and switching at the office door into my high heels. It was a lot pretending, a lot of smiling, a lot of fighting and a lot of disappointment. A new dream manifested in my chest and when my dear colleague Esther asked me one day on our way to the canteen what big dream I have for my life I said without thinking „Being my own boss, having my own company.“
A year after that I quitted my day job starting my wedding photography business at the age of 25. It was a dream coming true. I worked A-L-O-T but I did it just for me and slowly my small company grew to be too big for me alone and that moment my love Conrad joined me. First only in the office later also as a photographer on the wedding days. Since 2013 we are a full-time couple team and work together to build our dream life and business. In the same year, we started coaching starting and stuck photographers and small business owners to grow their companies and get a new point of view to their businesses. These coaching sessions grew into this shop, where I offer templates, guides and resources for photographers.
In January 2015 we got a new dream. We wanted to start a new business, a new challenge a product based webshop completely lose from our photography business. We started the monogram business meinmonogramm.de where we sell monogrammed products for the German and European market. What started as us both in our attic and an embroidery machine in the kitchen is now an industrial office of 200qm with a small team working each day to sell and send monogrammed products from our village through Europe.
They say „Having someone to hang out with is cool. But having someone you can build your dreams with is PRICELESS.“ This is us.
