A chinese wedding in Leuven | Lily & Tom
We knew in advance that this wedding in Leuven would be special and very international. But apart the international guests we also knew it would be a very personal wedding combining Chinese traditions and a modern couple in love. Lily and Tom finally got married after years of a long distance relationship and travelling the world together. He grew up in Belgium and she grew up in India. They met in Hong Kong during their studies when he was there as an Erasmus student. Her room mate and good friend saw the match and played the matchmaker. She obviously had a good eye for relationships as they both fell in love with each other. The past years he lived in Shanghai and she still lived in Hong Kong both far away from their families and each other. Skype and long talks became a daily habit. On their wedding day in June in Belgium they both saw their family together for the first time in many years. Lily’s family even flew in from all over the world to see Lily and Tom tying the knot. I felt honoured to have been their wedding photographer and document their day with all the emotions and wonderful moments.
Lily and Tom, thank you for your kindness and trust. It has been nothing but great working with the two of you and your wedding proved to be an event that was filled with emotions, love and joy. Conrad and me feel so lucky to have been chosen by you to document the biggest day in your lives.
This is part one of Lily and Tom’s day – keep an eye on the blog to not miss the second part.
