Andreas Feininger Exhibition | Bucket-before-30-list
Those of you who follow my blog might have seen my „Bucket-before-30-list“. A list of tasks that I want to accomplish before turning 30 in July.
One of the points were visiting the Andreas Feininger exhibition. Yesterday my friend Helen (you might remember her from the „Find the light videos“ ) took the afternoon off to head to Billerbeck and visit this exhibition at the Kolvenburg. Andreas Feininger has photographed New York in the 1940s on black and white film. The magic of his pictures is to show a different life that we all can barely imagine, a life without internet, a life during a world war in Europe, a life where roots and culture where playing a big part of peoples life. His impressive images where beautifully matted and hung around the old historic castle „Kolvenburg“.
If you like black and white photography and like to get inspired by a different life make sure you have a look at his pictures or visit one of his exhibitions. We ended the beautiful friends afternoon with some great strawberry ice cream which was so nice but maybe doesn’t help me to accomplish other points of my bucket-before-30-list.
