Dreaming of Paris
My brother is going to Paris tomorrow with the family of his wife and I am preparing a little „what-to-do-in-Paris-in-one-day-list“ and dreaming away. I miss that city of my heart a lot and I wish I could just go with them and show them everything I liked so much. So I thought I would share my top 3 tips if you are just having one day in Paris.
1. Shakespeare & Co.
I just love this place. Though you will find some tourists here it is a magic place and full of great (English) books new and second hand. Make sure to bring some time with you so you can look through those second hand books outside and read the stories about how Hemingway lived exactly in that book store. If you don’t own the book „A moveable feast“ by Hemingway this is the perfect place to buy it. And don’t forget to get a stamp of the store on the first page of your book!
2. My favorite place for crepes and panini: Rue Mouffetard 44 – this is just a stand where you buy the crepes or panini on the street but it is so so good !
3. A night tour with the Vedettes de Pont Neuf – this might sound cliché and too romantic but a tour with this boat is an absolut must in the city of lights when the lights go on. We always brought our home made quiche and some nice wine and enjoyed the tour on the Seine.
