This past months have been crazy and exciting. I had the pleasure to photograph some stunning weddings and meet wonderful people. In June I had the great honour to capture Naissan and Peter who just got married in an intimate elopement in Washington D.C. where they live and work. They came to Europe for business. She had appointments in Sweden and he had appointments in Holland. This was the perfect opportunity to get a portrait session in a wedding dress in Utrecht, the city he studied and graduated in.
The weather forecast was rainy and we were lucky we just got the hours without rain to walk through the beautiful city centre of Utrecht and even climb the tower of Utrecht for their pictures.
I feel incredibly blessed to work with people like Naissan and Peter and hear everything about their international love story. Most of the love shoots I am doing with international couples are held in Amsterdam and though I love Amsterdam I was really happy to have the chance this time to get the cosy and old city of Utrecht as a backdrop for a session.
Naissan and Peter thank you so much for your trust though we never had a chance to meet before due to the long distance and for this lovely and fun afternoon in Utrecht. I never climbed the tower before so this is now a story I am telling everybody who wants to know it. And thank you Peter for showing me parts of Utrecht I never saw before – you know this city a lot better than I do.
