It is Monday again and I catch myself telling myself that today is a tough day because I have a long to do list and some phone calls to make, I have to get the groceries, to do the laundry and I also have two in person meetings. It will be just one of those days BUT TOMORROW I WILL…. start with the treadmill, eat healthy, sit and take time for myself, have quality time with Conrad without talking about work and so on…. Does this like your Monday this week (maybe without the quality time with Conrad….) ?
I was feeling just like that on Monday evening while working late, skipping dinner, and just telling myself I just have to WAIT and then it will be different. And then this quote happened to jump in my face. It was there like a friend who told me the truth.
„Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now.“
What if we stop waiting, what if we start living. What if I didn’t wait for Saturday to arrive to finally see the sea again and THEN I can relax? What if snow, cold and rain is fine to be happy what if we don’t wait for the sun to shine? What if we are responsible for our own happiness? What if we can blame no weather, no person and no to-do list to have a bad mood? What if we start now to be happy and don’t wait for happiness to knock on our door?
And what if we just erase all the „What ifs“ from the last sentences that I wrote here.
Let’s start now – be happy, stop waiting.
PS: I couldn’t find the author of this wonderful quote. Please let me know if you know who wrote this.Â
