Time and Life savers – Part 3
Before I wrote the first part of this little serie called „Time and Life savers“ I wasn’t sure if anybody would read it at all. Thank you for the great feedback. Every comment and message about how those posts helped you and you started using one or several of those programs and that they saved you time and helped your workflow, really made me happy knowing I helped somebody with these posts.
So here is part 3 of „Time and Life Savers“
GrandTotal (Germany only)
For photographers and small business owners in Germany this is the easiest and best program to create invoices and keep track of your income. It saved me hours of creating invoices in Excel… (yes I did that before…)
Photomechanic is a program that looks not very sexy when you open it the first time but it will save you HOURS of time when culling through wedding or portrait images. This is a program good for one thing – selecting images and that is what it is perfect at just like a prime lens who just knows one focal length. You are able to see your big RAW files as if they were small JPGs and choose easily which ones you want to edit or not. The best thing is you can use the little stars from 1-5 to choose your favorite images and lightroom will see them too. So once you choose an image and give it a star rating you are ready to go and after you import the images to lightroom you will see your stars too and can start editing instantaneously !
