Some weeks ago my friend Helen wrote me a message "There is the Color Run in Münster in May, let's run there ! " A run ? I was a little terrified. Those of you who know me might know that running a marathon (or at least a half marathon) is on my life bucket list but since Christmas I have some ITBS problems with my knee so I couldn't run since then. "Sounds great but I have to see if my knee is going to be fine then." Was my answer to her. And while I started to research a little about what to do against my knee injury she started bombing me with messages about the run and if I already know I could come with her.

This is just a little reminder post. I think it is so exciting that one of my images has been nominated again for the BFA this year and being the only German who is nominated I truly need every single vote for my image. Kristina and Sven are the sweetest couple and friends of our Anke and Maik whoms wedding we photographed back in 2011. I loved being back to Südlohn to photograph a wedding and meeting people again that I met two years ago. Kristina and Sven started their day at her parents home to see each other for the first time and exchange the gifts they had prepared for each other.

I design all wedding albums myself and I do it in InDesign. In the beginning it was a hard process starting over again with each and every album. But then I found a way to save my designs as templates and reuse them for new designs. I think a wedding album should tell the story of a wedding in a clean and simple way. Some pages get more images like the reception and the dancing some pages get only one image to emphasize that moment. Anyway this is just my way of design for some it might be to simplistic or minimalistic but I like to look at a wedding album that focusses on the images and the story.

Jessica and Bodo are one of our favorite wedding couples from 2013. I photographed Jessica's bachelorette party in April 2013 and their wedding in July 2013. When Jessica asked me to photograph the two of them again in my studio I was over the moon and when she mentioned that she fell in love with the images of my blue couch here I already started planning the shoot in my head. We contacted Daniela Plesser for Jessica's hair and make-up again and planned the outfits.

Meeting the first time with our wedding couples we sit nicely together and chat about them, about us and about the wedding of course. It is all a nice and relaxed atmosphere and then there is this one question that feels like if all lights bundle and a spot like in police interrogation is hit at me: And what if it rains ?

All eyes are on me and expect me to have a super fancy answer or say something like: "We can always shift the couple session to another date !" And just close with a little shy smile. But no that is not what is going to happen. Well if it rains it rains and that means it is still your wedding day so we will take wedding pictures on your wedding day with rain.
