When I started out as a wedding photographers and I didn't educate my clients about lighting and when the best lighting for their wedding photography would be I was often forced to photograph at noon with the sun at it's highest. And some timetables of weddings still just offer me the option to shoot with harsh light. So when we started this serie of videos in March we decided to break it into different parts as there a plenty of options to shoot at noon.

Engagement session in Münster | Anne & Sebastian

When we met up with Anne and Sebastian for their engagement session in Münster they brought us real Belgian pralines. Living in Belgium this was not a big surprise you would say but receiving an unexpected gift is always a surprise to me ! And while I write these words these little pralines wander one after the other into my stomach. These two really know the way to my little photographer heart.

Hochzeit auf Landgoed Te Werve | Hanna & Bastian

etztes Jahr im September fuhren wir nach Holland um dort die wunderschöne Hochzeit von Hanna und Sebastian zu fotografieren. Diese Hochzeit wurde geplant und dekoriert von einem unseren niederländischen Lieblingsweddingplannern Marie-Jose und Ingrid von Eindeloos Events. Die Farben der Hochzeit waren gelb und blau und so waren auch die Blumen und die Dekoration an diesem Tag gestaltet. Hanna und Sebastian haben sich zu Hause kennengelernt, weil sie in Rotterdam in der selben WG lebten.

Autumn wedding at Landgoed te Werve | Hanna & Bastian

Last September we went back to Holland to photograph the beautiful wedding of Hanna and Bastian. The wedding was organized and styled by two of our favorite wedding planners Marie-Jose and Ingrid from Eindeloos Events. The wedding colors were yellow and blue and so were all the flowers and decoration for the day. Even Hanna's shoes were blue. Hanna and Bastian met at their home as they lived as flatmates in the same apartment in Rotterdam. They were lucky to have their family and friends from Holland, China and Germany over for their special day.

My blog turns 5 years old !

Today 5 years ago I decided in our small flat in Bussum (Netherlands) I could start a blog. I started with an experimental portrait session. A gothic girl with color key images. It was a long way to find my own voice and style of photography and I am not ashamed of these first steps. I never deleted a post in the past five years. I didn't know photography would become my profession that 15th of May 2009 it was just a hobby.

Mein Blog wird heute 5 Jahre alt !

Genau heute vor 5 Jahren habe ich mich in unserer kleinen Wohnung in Bussum (Niederlande) dazu entschieden einen Blog zu schreiben. Ich fing damals mit einer experimentellen Portraitsession an. Ein Gothic Girl mit Color Key Fotos. Es hat lange gedauert bis ich meinen eigenen Stil gefunden hatte und ich schäme mich nicht für meine ersten Schritte. Ich habe in den letzten 5 Jahren niemals einen Post gelöscht. An diesem 15.05.2009 wusste ich noch nicht, dass die Fotografie einmal mein Beruf werden würde. Damals war es nur ein Hobby für mich. Heute bin ich wirklich stolz auf dieses kleine Baby, das in den letzten Jahren so wunderbar gewachsen ist, und das möchte ich heute mit euch feiern.
