This was not only my first wedding in the beautiful city of Hamburg this was also the wedding of two wonderful people that just got married with their closest family and friends. In January I met Diana and Matze for the first time. It was a typical day for Münster rainy, grey and wet-cold. So we moved their engagement session inside the Tante August. Leonora and Simon got married in June this year in the city Cuijk which is close to Nijmegen. Their day started traditionally for both at their parents houses. When I arrived at her parent’s home I was welcomed by a big open hearted family. Leonora and her twin sister where upstairs getting ready while the family arrived at the living room waiting for the bride and groom to meet for the first time. Both their families have origins in the Molucca Islands and classic tradition played an important role during the day. Read the full post
Gordon and Katrina came from Hong Kong to Amsterdam in April right around the huge Queens day. Their friends Thomas and Fiona told them, that if they come to Amsterdam that they should do a couple session with me. The best way to get professional images of Amsterdam with them in the picture.
So Gordon contacted me with a special idea: He wanted to propose during that love shoot to Katrina. I was super excited and we planned that secret proposal during their real “engagement session”. I planned the tour through Amsterdam and for the proposal I chose the “Begijnhof” as a more calm place surrounded by the old houses of Amsterdam. Read the full post
I am slowly getting to blog my wonderful weddings from this summer and I am super happy to present you the wedding of Alicia and Thomas today.
Alicia and Thomas’ wedding was designed classic and elegant with a white and blue colour scheme. Everything was perfect from the getting ready till the late night. Two best friends getting married and their family and friends around them – a day filled with laughter and joy and believe me a stunning bride. Those of you who are familiar with German soccer might guess where this color scheme comes from but when the groom and most of the guests are active soccer players and the other guests are soccer fans you can combine soccer with classic and elegance to create a royal blue and white wedding theme. Wedding season here in Europe slowly gets slower and the golden autumn days start. This is usually the time of the year where we look forward to our yearly vacation. This year we don’t have a vacation planned but more like small retreat weekends for just us two or a weekend with friends. Read the full post

I have a passion for languages. That’s why I studied some for several years. Learning a new language always gives me the feeling of getting a new pair of glasses and seeing at once clear where everything was blurry before. Languages are magic as every language has it’s own melody and sound of sentences. What sounds nice in one language can sound really rough and unfriendly when you translate it literally.
